- We do not provide books. Students should buy or borrow books themselves.
- Students are required to read the book before the class.

Richard Peck's writing shows what life was like back then and talks about family and being strong when things are tough. It won a big prize called the Newbery Medal, so "A Year Down Yonder" is a special book for people who want to read about a different time.
